Raghunath Iyengar
The author is an 86-year-old Iyengar from a traditional Sri Vaishnava family, nurtured in the timeless rhythms of devotion, discipline, and service. His life has been deeply shaped by the Sri Vaishnava tradition, with close familiarity with sacred texts such as the Divya Prabandham, Tiruppavai, and the life and works of Sri Ramanujacharya. These foundations of faith have remained the guiding light of his journey.
At the same time, his outlook has been broadened by a life that has spanned both tradition and the modern world. Having lived many decades in Delhi, worked in very senior positions in corporate firms,he has also spent time abroad in the USA, UK, Singapore, and now resides in Melbourne. This wide exposure has enriched his perspective, enabling him to see the eternal truths of the tradition in the context of changing times and diverse cultures.
Well-read and deeply reflective, he carries within him both the inheritance of tradition and the curiosity of the modern mind. Through these stories, he offers readers not just tales of the past, but living pathways of wisdom—rooted in Sri Ramanuja’s teachings, yet resonant for seekers everywhere.
He is currently working on a set of fictional stories based entirely on the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, continuing his journey of exploring and sharing India’s timeless spiritual heritage through the lens of story.
