Riddhi: A Symphony of Skill and Heritage
Riddhi is a seasoned musician with over 25 years of experience spanning multiple genres and instruments. A Senior Software Architect by profession, he seamlessly integrates his passion for music into his life, performing across the globe and teaching for the last decade.
A Multi-Instrumentalist: Riddhi is proficient in a remarkable array of instruments, including Piano, Flute (Bansuri), Harmonica, Guitar, Melodica, Mandolin, Ukulele, Sarod, and Tabla.
Musical Heritage: Music is Riddhi's heritage. His lineage includes his mother, Smt. Gargi Sanyal, a celebrated Rabindra Sangeet singer (student of Suchitra Mitra), and his grandmother, Smt. Tripti Saraswati, a classical singer and received the coaching from Pt. Jamini Ganguly and Legendary Sri Manabendra Mukherjee. This rich environment fostered an early and deep devotion to the music.
Journey & Performance: His musical journey began with Tabla training under Sri Abhijit Barhouri, followed by Harmonica self-study and later Flute performance in college. While studying in the USA (2007-2010), he performed Rabindra Sangeet and North Eastern Bhatiali Music—notably introducing the Base Flute (F#) to a US audience at the BAM Durga Puja festival. Since 2010, he has been under the guidance of Guruji, Sri D. Madhusudan.
Riddhi has captivated audiences with performances encompassing Indian Classical Raga, Hindi Songs, Western Music, Rabindra Sangeet, and Light Classical Music across venues in India (Kolkata, Varanasi, Bangalore) and abroad.
Corporate Musician: Even in his 23-year career in the IT industry, music remains central. He has performed for corporate clients and executives, once receiving an overwhelming response after playing Raga Hansadhwani on the Flute for a company’s CIO and Board of Directors.
Teaching: Riddhi now shares his expertise, offering online and offline coaching in Piano, Flute, and Harmonica to aspiring learners.
