Pharmacognosy is the study of natural substances, chiefly those obtained from plants, which are used in various systems of medicine. It is closely associated with both botany and phytochemistry, disciplines that have evolved from the earliest scientific investigations of medicinal plants.
We are pleased to present the Practical Book of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry–II for the students of 5th Semester of Third Year B. Pharmacy.
The objective of this work has been achieved through the systematic arrangement of well-structured chapters, supplemented with neat, clear, and well-labeled diagrams wherever necessary. The book comprises 19 experiments, each designed to provide students with the necessary background and practical understanding of the respective topics.
