Shri Badime Krishna Shriram, IDAS is a serving officer of the Indian Defence Accounts Service (2018 batch) with wide-ranging experience in defence financial management, procurement, audit, and contract administration across national and international assignments. He has held key appointments in Indian Navy Budgeting, Contracts, GeM implementation, and Integrated Financial Advisory (IFA) roles, including postings at PCDA (Navy), Mumbai; CDA Goa/Karwar; and as Senior Deputy IFA at Ranchi. He has also served on an international assignment as Officer-in-Charge, Defence Accounts Department Cell and IFA with the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), contributing to audit, internal control, and financial governance in a complex operational environment.
An alumnus of Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) and Arun
Jaitley National Institute of Financial Management (AJNIFM), he has received advanced training in public procurement, contract management, forensic audit, disciplinary proceedings, and defence financial systems, including exposure at international institutions. His professional excellence has been recognised through Vice Chief of Naval Staff Commendation and UNMISS Force Commander Commendation.
The author has delivered multiple training sessions on Defence Procurement, GeM integration, IFA functioning, and Financial Management, and brings a practitioner’s perspective grounded in rules, audit discipline, and field realities. This work reflects his commitment to clarity, compliance, and capacitybuilding in public and defence procurement systems.
