Karina Pandya

Karina Pandya is an author of fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. Her books include the memoir Touching Void… Surviving a Car Accident, the fiction titles New York Wakes to Culture and Inside Mumbai: Stories from the Heart of a Vibrant City, and the poetry collection Limits Make Things Too Small.

Her writing explores culture, resilience, identity, and the emotional landscapes of cities and individuals. New York Wakes to Culture and Inside Mumbai have been well received for their vivid portrayal of urban life.

Karina was nominated as Poet of the Year by the International Society of Poets in 2004 and was a semi-finalist in the International Poetry Contest in the USA in 2002. She has spoken at numerous events and taught at business schools on topics including film, digital marketing, social media, mental health, books, and poetry.

Her work has appeared in the Hindustan Times Café, and she continues to blog and write short stories. Limits Make Things Too Small is also the name of her literary startup, which organised one of Mumbai’s most high-profile poetry events in 2017, featuring leading celebrities and spoken-word poets. The venture also launched a literary magazine, Digital Epoch. Karina is a graduate of Jai Hind College and holds a postgraduate degree in Communications from Sophia Polytechnic, Mumbai.
