VOICES ON NATURE AND MINDFULNESS
“The whisper of the pines, the smell of the damp earth, the silence of the snow – these are the heartwood of the hills.” — Ruskin Bond

“The Himalaya is as much about the spirit as about landscapes... it is a reflection of something inside us.” — Bill Aitken, Footloose in the Himalaya

“The mountain air was rife with damp wood-smoke... A ritual that goes on timelessly, to herald a day of newness.” — Namita Gokhale, Never Never Land

"To find a book that captures the simple, honest beauty of the hills and gives you a space to reflect on it is a rare gift… like a walk in a deodar forest—quiet, profound, and full of peace." — Walks with Nature

Pradeep Malhotra

Pradeep Malhotra divides his time between the bustle of Delhi and the quietude of his home in the Kumaon Himalayas. A passionate advocate for living in harmony with the earth, his work is shaped by a background in mass communications and deep-rooted studies in ecology and spirituality at Schumacher College, U.K. He finds inspiration in the simple rhythms of hill life: the call of the whistling thrush, the scent of morning woodsmoke, and the enduring spirit of the mountain community. He is also the author of Open Windows: Connecting Nature, Spirit & Society and Sunshine is Everywhere: One Moment at a Time.
