The novel Saanthiyilekke portrays the poignant relationship between a daughter and her father told from a unique perspective. This story is written as a tribute by the author to her father. She finds it difficult to understand social norms and is forced to compromise on her dreams and desires. One of the earliest examples of empowerment, she comes out in flying colours, establishing her name as a singer and a writer.
