What is dhyana? Dhyana is grace! Dhyana is Astitva's grace - it happens. Nobody can 'do' dhyana. What is 'done' is a method, an action and dhyana is a 'happening', an occurrence.
Dhyana is Paramatma's grace. It is a 'happening', where the mind is not present. it is a 'no-mind' state, where there are no thoughts, there is no duality, there is no 'for' or 'against', no holy-unholy, no good-bad, no sin or virtues - there is nothing. 'Doing' is not dhyana as there is movement involved in 'doing', and movement is not dhyana. Dhyana is peace, dhyana is calm, and in order to relax, one has to get out of a calculative mindset. This stepping out of an arithmetic-mind is called dhyana.
