Viewed in the modern context , there can be new interpretations to these literary masterpieces. Some like the nursery rhymes have always belonged to the genre of spoofs and lampoons with political, social and historical overtones. I am Dr. Seema Sinha, retired Associate Professor in English and Head, University Dept. of English, Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University, Dhanbad. I was the Dean, Humanities, and a Member of the University Senate.
