PARTHA PRATIM KALITA
A star student since the early years of schooling, the author pushed his way up the academic ladder through periods of tremendous stress and financial constraints. He shot to fame bagging a state rank (4th) in the 10th board exams. An ardent believer in the power of self-study, he managed to crack the pre-medical and subsequently the post-graduation entrance exams without ever setting foot in a coaching institute. He is presently working as a senior consultant at Ayursundra Superspeciality Hospital, Guwahati, Assam. The author has published numerous papers in various national and international journals; has authored the top-selling medical textbooks, Decoding Medicine and Diabetes Simplified. Apart from being a regular visiting consultant on various online forums and television talk shows, Dr. Partha is also a photographer, YouTuber and environment-enthusiast. The present book is his first non-academic publication.
RAJLAKSMI DUTTA
Born to a family of academicians, the author grew up amid books. Irresistibly drawn to literature, psychology, science and philosophy, winning accolades and editing magazines, she discovered her passion for writing at an early age. In her 12th board exams, she bagged a coveted state rank (6th) and the highest score in the English language. During her years in medical school, she unintentionally let go of the writing bug; only to pick up the pen years later following encouragement from her spouse. Million Fragments of a Starry Sky is her first published book, co-written with her life partner.
