George Sandosham

Born in India and raised in Singapore, George is a prominent legal personality who actively participated in shaping Singapore’s early legal and judicial landscape. Throughout his illustrious 30-year-long career, he has served as a magistrate and a deputy public prosecutor in the Singapore legal service. Later in life, he became a criminal defence lawyer and started his own private practice firm, giving him a holistic view of law from both sides of the bar.

Described as ‘the embodiment of the hail-fellow-well-met’ character, George has balanced the trials of his legal profession with close family life, active involvement in the Singapore Cricket Club and the Tanglin Club, retirement in Australia and topped it all off with a deep love of beer. He has brushed shoulders with sporting legends and state dignitaries, met convicts as well as celebrities and enthusiastically welcomes people from all walks of life – especially fellow lovers of beer.
