Since 2006, the author has been working as a Faculty in the Social Science Dept. of Sainik School Ghorakhal, Nainital (UK). He has a vast experience of teaching NDA-NA preparatory classes at Sainik School Ghorakhal, Nainital. He is trained in the field of research as a Field Investigator and has worked as a ‘Project Fellow’ in a Major Research Project of UGC, ‘The Study of Slums in Kanpur Town.’ He is winner of a Debate Competition organized by Pratiyogita Darpan Magazine, runner of an Essay Writing Competition conducted by Civil Services Chronicle Magazine and prize winner of an Essay Writing Competition held by the Ocean Development dept., Govt. of India. His many articles/letters/research papers/stories on various issues have been published in different newspapers, magazines and journals like Dainik Jagran, Amar Ujala, Hindustan, The Indian Express, Uttar Bharat Bhoogol Patrika, Pratiyogita Darpan, Civil Services Chronicle, Bhoogol Aur Aap, United Bharat, India News, Sharp Reporter, Manmeet, The Week and The Health. In 2008, Shri Singh was selected as ‘PGT- Geography’ by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti but he preferred to continue in the military environment of Sainik School.
