India joined the journey to regulate the cyber-space in 2000. The development of Indian laws for the cyber world and cyberspace has been slow. The past decade can be considered significant from the point of view of robust regulation of cybercrimes and ensuring a guarantee of rights in cyberspace. Many countries are engaged in enacting Data Protection Laws. The Indian government also started engaging in discussions and deliberations to ensure the protection of personal digital continuous reports and recommendations of Committees culminated in the form of Draft Bills to protect Personal Data in India. The Book is a sincere attempt to present an overview of constitutional, judicial and legal aspects of data protection with a special focus on India. Dr. Harish Kumar Verma is working as an Associate Professor and Dean of the ICFAI University Law School, The ICFAI University, Jaipur. Dr. Harish Kumar Verma did his LL.B, LL.M, PGDPM and Ph.D from Himachal Pradesh University, Summerhill, Shimla. His area of specialization has been constitutional law, environmental law, jurisprudence and human rights.Mr. Verma has more than eighteen years of experience in teaching and administration. Dr. Verma also obtained a Masters degree in Psychology from IGNOU.
Ms. Priti Chaudhari is a Ph.D. Research Scholar at Sharda School of
Law, Sharda University. Greater Noida, UP, India. She is pursuing her
Ph.D. in Intellectual Property Law. She has a good research experience
along with industry experience. She has assisted in various research
projects related to different arenas of law.She has authored research
papers and book chapters.
Dr. Bhumika Sharma is working as an Assistant Professor in Sharda School of Law, Sharda University, Greater Noida, UP, India. Her academic career spans over nine years in reputed institutions across India.
