How does wasting money impact the emotions of people? What are the psychological effects of being rich versus being poor? What is the essence of problematic behaviors associated with money, such as compulsive spending and pathological gambling? This bibliography primarily highlights classical and recent psychological studies to address these questions, but it also cites perspectives from economics, neuroscience, and anthropology.
