হতাশা আজ থেকেই ঝেড়ে ফেলতে হবে, তার জায়গায় নিয়ে আসতে হবে উদ্যম। একবার ব্যর্থতায় ভেঙ্গে পড়লে হবে না। প্রত্যেক কাজের একটা সময়সীমা বেঁধে নিতে হবে এবং সেই মাফিক পরিকল্পনা করতে হবে।মনে রাখতে হবে, কোন যুগেই কেউ এক বিন্দুও কাউকেও ছেড়ে কথা কয় নি। এপ্রসঙ্গে মহাভারতের দুর্যোধনের একটা কথা খুবই প্রাসঙ্গিক যেটা তিনি পান্ডবদের বলেছেন-" বিনা যুদ্ধে নাহি দেব সূচাগ্র মেদিনী।"

বাস্তব ক্ষেত্রে এটাই কিন্তু হয়। কেউ কাউকে কিছু ছেড়ে দেয় না। অর্জন করে নিতে হয়। যে অর্জন করে সে জেতে আর যে হারে সে শেখে। এ শিক্ষার মধ্যে কিন্তু কিছু দোষের বা হতাশার স্থান নেই।তাই মনকে শক্ত করে আবার ততোধিক উদ্যমে কাজে লেগে পড়তে হবে।মাঝেমধ্যে হতাশা আসবে, সেটা স্বভাবসিদ্ধ, দোষের কিছু নেই। কিছু ব্যক্তি সকল জায়গায় আছে তারা নিজেও কিছু করে না আবার যে উদ্যমী তাকে বা তাদেরকে বিভিন্ন ভাবে নিরুৎসাহিত করেন। তাদের কথায় কোন কাজ থেকে পিছিয়ে গেলে হবে না। মনকে করতে হবে সিংহের মতো উদ্যমী, সাহসী এবং দৃঢ়প্রতিজ্ঞ।বহু আশা নিয়ে আমি বাংলাভাষায় একটি গ্রন্থ রচনায় এবছর হাত দিলাম।এটি বিশেষতঃ দেশের যুবসমাজের উদ্দেশ্য লেখা ‌। দেখেছি তাদের এক সঠিক দিশা দেওয়ার প্রয়োজন আছে। এ বয়সের যুবক যুবতীরা সহজেই হতাশাগ্রস্ত হয়ে পড়ছেন যেটা দেশ বা জাতির পক্ষে মোটেই শুভকর নয়।
