Saksham Deol is a Class IX student at Yadavindra Public School, Mohali, near Chandigarh. Born on 7 October 2003, Saksham has a keen interest in English literature and has been writing poems, plays, and novellas since the age of 9. Blissful Love is his first published work.
Aspiring to be a writer, Saksham is inspired by William Shakespeare and J. K. Rowling. He is interested in non-fiction as well as fiction, particularly in romance and fantasy genres. In 2016, he won the first prize in the Shakespeare quiz for school kids in the Chandigarh region that was organized by the British Council to mark the playwright’s 400th death anniversary.
Apart from literature, Saksham is interested in learning foreign languages, especially Spanish and German. Palaeontology is one of his special interest areas.
His favorite subject is English and he believes that it's the most important one as it unites millions of people, like the people of North and South India, as the South Indian languages are very difficult to learn by North Indians and vice versa, as well as it is a common business language which makes a lot of people, obviously even outside India as well, communicate and interact with each other...
Apart from English, he likes Biology, particularly Medical Science, Chemistry, Hindi,  History and Geography...
Saksham lives with his parents Rajesh and Meena Deol and younger brother, Kavya, in Chandigarh.
