Savio Allan Lamb, currently serving as an Assistant Commissioner of Customs and GST, has a rich background in customs work, spanning 32 years in Mumbai Customs before being promoted to AC and transferred to Bengaluru GST in 2020. Presently stationed in Pune GST Appeals under the Commissioner of Customs and GST Appeals, he holds a Master's in Law (LLM) from Mumbai University, an LLB from Government Law College, Mumbai, and an MBA in marketing from SIBM, Mumbai. His academic journey includes a BSc from Xavier's College, Mumbai, and schooling at St. Don Bosco High School, Matunga.
Beyond his professional career, Savio has excelled in sports, representing the Mumbai hockey team in junior nationals and currently representing Indian Customs in the Nationals Master badminton. Notable achievements include winning the Goa state mix doubles and men's doubles championships in the 50-plus category.
In his customs career, Savio's team made significant gold and cocaine seizures, demonstrating their commitment to enforcement. Outside of work, Savio enjoys socializing, dancing, and playing badminton. He firmly believes in living life to the fullest, surrendering to God, and striving to be a good human being—an ethos that truly matters in the end.
