Terence Alvares grew up in Ajmer in the north of India in a Goan family. After his schooling, he did his higher studies at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani. He worked in Hyderabad for twelve years, setting up Science Museums and Science Parks across India.

Terence Alvares grew up in Ajmer in the north of India in a Goan family. After his schooling, he did his higher studies at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani. He worked in Hyderabad for twelve years, setting up Science Museums and Science Parks across India.
At the turn of the century, he migrated to Australia and has worked with some of Australia’s leading organizations managing customer service operations.
Terence has always loved reading and has a passion for fiction and short stories. At home, he has amassed a library of great English fiction and short story books.
In October 2020, he published his first book, Itsy BITS’y Tales: Pilani in the 80s, which is a fictional collection of snippets and stories from the 80s on the social life on the BITS Pilani campus. The book is available on Amazon worldwide and has had excellent reviews. He is currently working on a second novel on college life.
Terence loves connecting with and writing about common people from all walks of life and searches for that innate goodness that manifests itself above all the challenges that life throws at people.
His hobbies include fitness, reading, and exploring the wide-open spaces in Australia where he now lives. However, he is deeply connected to his roots in India, specifically Goa and Rajasthan.
