Dr Abhishekh B, MD (Transfusion Medicine), DNB (Immunohematology and Blood Transfusion), MNAMS, PGDCR (Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Research), Certificate course in Cellular Therapy (AABB) is working as an additional professor of transfusion medicine at the prestigious Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry.
He has more than 12 years of experience in teaching postgraduate students. He has been a regular examiner for MD exams. He has regularly organised workshops for students as masterclasses on approaching the Exams under the name “JHAKAAS” and the faculty on adopting CBME in Transfusion Medicine and good practices in assessment under the name “TransCoMeT”.
He has over 60 original articles and about 20 review articles in the field to his credit in reputed journals. He is the author of the book “MITR”, Manual for Immunohematology and Transfusion Residents. He is also a faculty of the NTTC (National Teachers Training Centre) at JIPMER.
He received the Young Scientist Award from the Indian Society of Transfusion Medicine in 2019 and the HD Shoure Award from the Indian Society of Immunohematology and Blood Transfusion in 2021.
