In 1970, his family moved to Hoskins, West New Britain Province where he began his schooling at Buvussi Community School five years later. He did his secondary education at Hoskins High School from 1981 to 1984, and in 1989, he entered Dauli Teachers College and graduated a year later with a Certificate in Primary Teaching.

The desire to teach at secondary schools led him to matriculate with the University of Papua New Guinea Institute of Distance and Continuing Education (UPNG IDCE), and in 2000, he attended UPNG where he studied Accounting.

He returned to the classroom in 2003 and was elevated to secondary level. He now teaches English and Accounting. His profound involvement in teaching writing skills eventually led to the birth of this book, his first.
