After earning his bachelor’s degree from Christian Medical College, Vellore, he completed his Post Graduation in Otorhinolaryngology from Presidency General Hospital, Kolkata. He mainly focuses on women’s health issues under the Himalayan Women Health project. He also headed an environment-related NGO called Ladakh Ecological Development Group (LEDeG).
