Rajni Raina

Rajni Raina completed her elementary education at the hallowed portals of Prayag Mahila Vidyapith at Allahabad under the tutelage of the renowned freedom fighter, poet, women’s activist and educationist, Mrs. Mahadevi Verma, the principal at Prayag Mahila Vidyapith. The close proximity with the luminary inspired the author and sowed the seeds for writing stories for the moral and social awakening of the masses in her early formative years. After completing her M.A. and L.T., she was appointed in the Central Government Services.

Besides writing, Rajni Raina worked at Doordarshan Kendra at Lucknow as a scriptwriter of stories, dramas and so on for children’s programmes. She also aided in production work.
