She completed her graduation with honours and gold medals from Patna Medical College. She was awarded Master’s Degree in Obs & Gynae from Patna University. She is a fellow of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (UK) and Indian College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She worked for the NHS in UK for eight years in this field.
