Tanay Bhadra born in 2004, is a high school junior pursuing IBDP at Singapore International School, Mumbai. He has always been a storyteller and loves to weave stories around everything that he sees and experiences, but he started exploring his passion of narrating stories in the longer format at the age of ten when he penned his first novella ‘The Golden Island Survivors’ in the year 2014. He then went on to write a novel ‘The Children of Destiny’ in the year 2016. His first two books were released only to a limited audience: his teachers and classmates.
Even though his first two books weren’t published, the encouragement and praise that he received from his teachers, parents and friends were primary influences in motivating him to write the novel ‘Devils’.
‘Devils’ is the first book in a planned two-part science-fiction series. He started working on this book in June 2018, and it took him two years of persistent efforts to come out with the end product. ‘Devils’ is his first published book and his umpteenth attempt at story telling. Since Tanay is an ardent physics lover, he chose to write a science-fiction set up in the backdrop of three fictional planets revolving around a fictional star ‘Soor’.
Apart from writing novels, Tanay also writes scientific blog articles regularly. His blog articles can be accessed on the website: www.astrophysics.news. He has penned several short stories and articles, some of which are captured only in his laptop, some on his blog (https://expressionscoffeeshopofideas.wordpress.com/) and some have been published in his school Yearbook over the years. He also serves as the chief editor of the “Events” section of his school Newsletter. Tanay lives in Mumbai with his parents, and can be reached at tanaymbhadra@gmail.com.
