Vickey Prasad is a Doctoral Research Scholar at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur, where he focuses on the intersection of Trauma and Memory Studies. A UGC-JRF awardee, he has also completed a short-term Teaching Assistant course from Oxford Home Study Centre, UK. Formerly associated with Amity University Chhattisgarh as a Visiting Faculty and Assistant Professor, Vickey brings a diverse background in academics, literature, and grassroots educational engagement. A passionate educator, poet, and independent journalist, he writes his poetry and short stories prolifically under the pen name “Vickey David.” Born and raised in a rural part of Hooghly in West Bengal, India, Vickey remains deeply committed to bridging the educational divide between urban and rural learners. This short story collection reflects his vision of inclusive and empathetic education. It is specially designed for school students in village and semi-urban regions to nurture critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and social awareness.
Dr. Anoop Kumar Tiwari is an Associate Professor in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at National Institute of Technology (NIT), Raipur. With a distinguished academic background in linguistics, literature, and social theory, Dr. Tiwari’s scholarship explores the intersections of language, identity, and socio-cultural structures. His areas of expertise include American and British Literature, Indian Writing in English, Memory Studies, Sociolinguistics, and Film Studies, all of which inform his interdisciplinary and socially engaged pedagogical approach. A prolific author and seasoned researcher, he has published several books and guided numerous doctoral students across diverse literary and cultural domains. As a co-editor of this book, Dr. Tiwari brings academic rigor, mentorship, and a strong belief in the power of literature to engage young minds and cultivate empathy and critical consciousness.
