Durga Kannan
Born in Tamilnadu to a middle class family, Durga Kannan was brought up in Karnataka and is a product of Kendriya Vidyalaya. She holds a Bsc degree from MES college. Durga is a resident of Bengaluru working for the Indian Audit and Accounts Department. Her passion for sports, trekking in the Himalayas, reading books, her immense interest in the philosophy of life and a search for The Eternal Truth have made her open-minded and vocal in her thoughts. Brutally honest at times, she believes she's just a drop in the ocean, an insignificant bubble in the vastness of the universe. A spontaneous writer, who writes more from the heart than the mind, she has written more than 8000 short poems and musings so far. A Rhapsody of Emotions is her first printed collection of poems, fulfilling her father's dream. Introduced to the likes of Jiddu Krishnamurthy, Ramana Maharishi, Swami Chinmayananda and more at a young age has helped her view things from a philosophical angle. She resides in Bengaluru with her husband Giridharan and two daughters Apoorva and Aditi.
