Art is an evolutionary practice - it must always begin erred and ugly, and it must always, get better.
Devotion traces that evolution: from my unsteady, amateurish hand, to a still amateur one - but with five years of dedication. Each poem marks a step in my strife— not toward perfection, but toward empathy and enlightenment. My work encompasses all deliberations of falling behind, romance, evil and humanity.

Farah Omar Malikka
Farah began writing at the age of twelve; as a way of expression during the isolation of the infamous pandemic. Later, as her writing developed, it became a vessel of critique of the world around her. She is a senior student studying in Dubai, UAE and is described as an introspective social butterfly. Her passion and interest in philosophy, human psychology and art are truly the nexus of her writing. Through her work, Farah explores the balance between light and introspection, passion and pause, always returning to the idea that devotion is both a practice and a becoming.
