My poetry book, entitled as 'Songs of Stars’ is a collection of modern English poems dealing with the stern realties as well as direly sombre aspects of life that focus on how man suffers on account of hostile fate and its workings devised by Providence in the course of reaching a destination through inscrutable predicaments contrived by despair, disease and death. These collected poems conjure up a real world of melancholy that commands sympathy .The poems celebrate macabre situations by means of philosophical ideas that are related to passions of life weaving a cobweb in a psychosocial domain. My poems sometimes virtually represent my personal ideology as they overshadow my concepts of pessimism and realism that make a mark on my poetic creativity.

I'm a prolific writer who has been working with English poetry since student life with a queerly keen aptitude, creative abilities and realistic experiences of mundane life. I take immense pleasure in writing innovative poems based on creative ideas. I, as a retired teacher of English, find a larger scope for soaring about an open sky of winged words by dint of my negligible poetic genius whatsoever. I, for the time being, become all the more interested in bringing a lot of poems to light as my poetry book entitled ‘Songs of Stars’ through your esteemed publishing company. I've almost nothing to digress about my own academic background, nevertheless it can be simply admitted that I'm an educationist endowed with Ph.D, B.Ed degrees in English from the university of Burdwan, West Bengal.
