The reader may certainly have heard of the Feynman lectures on Physics ( 3 volumes covering the 1st and 2nd years of the UG curricula at Caltech). The course was developed using a pedagogy that undergraduates could assimilate the topics of Quantum Mechanics without going through the classical mechanics prelogue.
Other schools like MIT did not follow this method and followed a more traditioal route. Courses like Mechanics and electromagnetics were taught separately. This book covers part of the online lectures for MIT's 8.02 series
