I have endeavored to pen down a few interesting incidents during my service life. Some are of just humorous value, some throw up a moral and some may indicate a lesson to be learned for the future.

C.P. Tewari

Major General (Veteran) C.P. Tewari is a student of the Air Force School, New Delhi. He was the school captain. He played for the Delhi state Junior Hockey team. He was awarded the silver medal by the Late Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in the ‘On the Spot Shankar’s weekly painting competition’. He has been a keen dramatist. He followed his father’s footsteps to join the National Defence Academy as an Air Force cadet in the year 1961. Due to medico technical reasons, he had to change his service choice to the Army. He was commissioned into the Army Service Corps on 15th June 1966 and has served in the high altitude mountains of both, North and North Eastern India, also in the Jungles of Assam and Arunachal. During 1971 Indo – Pak war he served in western deserts. He rendered commendable service in the militant affected areas of Punjab, J & K and Nagaland. He has been an instructor at his Alma – mater the ASC School when it was at Bareilly. He has attended all mandatory courses of instructions and the prestigious ones amongst them being the Long Petroleum course with Indian Oil Corporation at Bombay, the Long Defence Management course at Secunderabad and he is a graduate from the National Defence College at New Delhi.
