Clean energy use, economic development of a country and quality of life of citizens are closely linked. Further extent of cleanliness of primary energy and the transformation process followed have significant environmental consequences in the form of global warming. Hence, there is a need to shift to low carbon clean energy in the energy transformation and value system. Such a system calls for availability of right type of clean energy, right product, process technology, affordability of users and appropriate institutions. In rural areas where clean energy poverty is high, diffusion of clean energy products will be possible by addressing the issues of information dissemination, availability, financing, affordability, serviceability and creating income generation opportunities.An action research method of partial interventions in the ecosystem and assessment of effect has been adopted. The study was undertaken in the areas of South Odisha, with predominantly rural population. Through a series of case studies, the components of clean energy ecosystems and their iterations have been studied. The findings of the book can help policy makers and marketing agencies and divisions of companies to plan the diffusion of clean energy products in unserved areas among poor consumers in a systematic way.

Dr. Shiv Sankar Das has earned his Doctorate from Centurion University of Technology and Management, Odisha, India. His research interests include Clean Energy, Organisational Behaviour, Human Resource Management and Marketing Management. He presently works in Zenith School of Management, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India as Associate Professor.
Prof. Debashree Debadatta Behera has been working in the Department of Mechnical Engineering, Centurion University of Technology and Management, Odisha, India as Assistant Professor. She is pursuing her doctoral programme at present. Her research interests include Renewable Energy and Solar Thermal Energy System.
Dr. Ajit Kumar Pradhan has been working with Centurion University of Technology and Management, Odisha as Associate Professor in the Department of English. He has earned his doctorate from the English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad. His research interests include English for Specific Purposes, teacher training and materials development.
