Nicholas received training as an architect in both India and the USA. His passion for photography has taken him to various places, and as a result, many publications and journals have included his architectural photographs. His interest in photography naturally extended to birds. During the COVID lockdown, while developing an Android app focused on birds for children, he began gathering information for this book. Nicholas currently resides in Bangalore, India, with his wife and two children.
