This book is a collection of 22 research papers presented at the Virtual National Conference organised by the Department of English, Kristu Jayanti College (Autonomous), Bengaluru, on the theme Inclusivity through a Transdisciplinary Prism held on January 24th & 25th, 2023. The conference resounded the idea of inclusivity ardently reinforced by the United Nations in its 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The research papers in this volume contribute to understanding and addressing issues related to diversity, discrimination, and social exclusion. The creative and critical perspectives, and contexts discussed through these works, bridge the gap between theory and practice, as well as between research and implementation, thus connecting us with the common aim to re-examine our actions so as to create a more equitable society where everyone can celebrate their uniqueness.

Dr. Giftsy Dorcas E., hails from Tamil Nadu and works as an English faculty at Kristu Jayanti College (Autonomous), Bengaluru. She has completed her doctoral degree in English. Her areas of interest include Emotional Intelligence, Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and Diasporic Writing. She is a published author.
Dr. Saranya Narayanan, is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of English, Kristu Jayanti College, Bengaluru. She completed her PhD from the Department of English, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. Her thesis explored the complex ways in which literary narratives represent, depict and engage with traumatic experiences. Her research specialty and interests include Trauma Studies, Gender studies and Women’s writing. She has published scholarly articles and book chapters in esteemed academic journals and edited collections, and presented research works at various national and international conferences.
Dr. Brighton A. Rose, is working as an Assistant Professor of English, Kristu Jayanti College (Autonomous), Bengaluru. He has presented papers at the National, International Conferences and also published papers in the national, international journals of repute. He has also delivered talks at the National Seminars, Conferences. His area of specialization includes Subaltern Literature, Postcolonial Literature. He is ardent researcher cum academician who strives for perfection in his academic pursuits.
Dr. Neha Kumari, is currently working as an Assistant Professor of English at Kristu Jayanti College (Autonomous), Bangalore. She pursued her Ph.D. from SKM University, Dumka, Jharkhand, a state government University. She has qualified UGC NET and KSET exams. She started her teaching career in the year 2017. She has around 4.5 years of teaching experience. She has participated in National and International Conferences and presented papers. Her area of interest includes British Literature, American Literature, Children’s Literature, and Indian writing in English. Her research topic was “J. K. Rowling: Exploring a New Territory in the Genre of Fiction”.
