Penned down: poems and short stories is a collection of writer's experiences, observations and thoughts going in her mind presented by the art of poetry. Adhikshita had started writing her book at the age of 9 in 2015. With a few poems, she started to enjoy writing and wrote more than hundred of poems in 5 years. She vividly expressed her feelings through similes, personification, metaphor, idioms etc.
The poems describe how a child sees the world while growing up. They also depict how the simplest of things churn up emotions in their lives. It is a pleasure to read as it shows nature, events and feelings in the transforming years of one's life. The style of poems is humor, awareness of the world, simplicity in life situations and innocence of the mind. Although as the poems progress, these develop a sense of growth of the poet by a different interpretation of things in various manners.
The poems were written at a certain time period of the poet's life in a different mood and tone. Each poem could be interpreted in many ways depending on the reader.
