Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalSummer Nights is a book of poems I wrote during nights of summer of 2023. It is a prompt poetry book which has a collection of 21 poems that I wrote in response to a series of prompts or stimuli. The prompts were taken from the internet and various writing communities on Instagram. They are form of words, phrases, images, or situations, and inspired me to create new work which is presented in this book. Most of the prompts I used are focused on a sentence, theme or phrase. Writing this book was a great way to challenge myself, experiment with new styles and techniques, and explore new themes and ideas.
The poems vary in style and form, but mostly they are free verse. For me poems are powerful medium for self-expression, reflection, and exploration. It can capture a range of emotions, experiences, and perspectives, inviting readers to see the world in a new way and connect with the deeper truths and complexities of the human experience. I tried doing the same through this book.
