Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalThe Cursed Treasure is a unique saga about the trials and tribulations in the life of Keshu. His personal fortunes are lost, possibly forever, under mysterious circumstances.
What makes the book unique is that the story spans from 1880 to 2020 – a period in time that is hardly ever touched upon in the realm of fiction.
The Cursed Treasure keeps the readers engrossed all through this seamless but “topsy-turvy” journey with one question on their mind: Will Keshu’s lost treasure ever be recovered?

“The Cursed Treasure”(Notion Press), Anu Pillai’s recently published debut novel, set mostly in his native Kollam Town in Kerala, fascinated me right from its Prologue. It’s remarkable how he weaves, in just a hundred pages, seven generations of a family over the span of a century and leading right into
our time.
Anu Pillai is noticeably a sensitive writer who understands human inclinations.

Anu Pillai is a graduate in commerce and stays in Kollam with his wife, Sindhu, and children Anusri, Samathmika and Sanjaya.
He hails from a well-known business family in Kollam, Kerala. They were importers of dried tobacco from Jaffna, Ceylon, prior to independence. This family also played a major role in pioneering the processing and exporting of cashews.
He believes that the vastly exaggerated stories that he has heard during his childhood has possibly influenced his creativity and encouraged him to pen this saga. The Cursed Treasure is his first foray in the field of letters.
