ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Ubaidullah Kazi (or Ubi for short!) is a law graduate from the University of Durham, United Kingdom. Prior to his legal studies, he lived in Bangalore where he completed his secondary and senior secondary studies in science with economics, where he secured the highest score in the subject in school as well as the overall highest possible score in mathematics.
Throughout his time as a student, he presided over various student clubs including his school’s Model UN (‘MUN’) Club and two student law societies during his final year at university. However, he still considers the founding of his school’s volleyball team as one of his biggest achievements.
After graduating, Ubaidullah returned to India to qualify as an advocate but discovered the growing significance of cracking the Indian Institute of Management’s Common Aptitude Test (‘CAT’) and spent his 2023 preparing for the exam whilst participating in virtual internships, bootcamps and courses on data analytics, data privacy, applied finance and legal tech (all of which are still his major areas of interest till today). He managed to secure a 99.27% overall in the test and sees it as an achievement that inspires others to push towards their goals.
This vision has led him to create a workbook containing 25 mocks on the CAT exam’s Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (‘VARC’) section. He aspires to educate others about the significance of the English language in understanding what an author conveys through his content and hopes that people develop an affinity to studying it as intensely as they would for the other sections and/or subjects.
Currently, Ubaidullah is teaching the next set of test-takers as a VARC trainer at Career Launcher whilst operating his own motivational brand called ‘Be So’, which publishes motivational posts featuring fancy English adjectives and popular brands/personalities who serve as inspirational benchmarks to beat.
