The activities in this book are based on:
1. Enhancing independent decision-making skills, creativity, and concentration. The activities are cognitively sound and designed to stimulate imagination. Examples: i) Ice cream factory – Make your favourite ice-cream from the given ingredients and ii) Restaurant Outing – Choose your order and calculate your bill
2. Associative learning technique which enables the child to relate two different but conceptually similar topics.Examples: i) Seasons with months and ii) Weight with the position of the scale
3. Concept-based instruction which goes beyond the mere transmission of facts to making sense of the facts and applying them to real-world situations. Examples: i) Learning to write the date and ii) Understanding the role of five senses
4. A mix of problem-solving and open-ended exercises to ensure the learning goes beyond right and wrong. Examples: i) Experiments on float, absorption, reflection, transparency, and flexibility and ii) A game of Colour Hunt .

Little Munchkins
Activity Book for Brain Development is the first book under the Little Munchkins umbrella, an initiative of Neeta Khilnani. The book is the culmination of her efforts to find for her own child an activity book that is cognitively stimulating, yet fun-filled and engaging.
Neeta completed her post-graduation from the National Institute of Industrial Engineering and has independently authored numerous research reports since the start of her equity research career spanning eight years. She possesses a strong academic track record – she topped her college in each of the three years of graduation. With an analytical and creative bent of mind coupled with an unrelenting passion for writing, she has shifted gears to writing full-time.
