Jesus was a good teacher and also a brilliant storyteller. He told unforgettable stories, better known as parables, to illustrate his teachings. However, the stories of Jesus were never meant for the entertainment of his listeners but for their enlightenment.
There is a great range of diversity in the themes of Jesus' stories, such as the kingdom of heaven, forgiveness of sins, love, faith, greed, relationships, justice, life after death and Jesus’ second coming.
This book has 32 parables of Jesus selected from the New Testament part of the Bible, each with a brief commentary. Although set in the social conditions and customs of that time, they relate to our present times as well.

After his retirement, he had served as ISRO Chair Professor at the Department of Atmospheric and Space Sciences of the University of Pune (2004-2008). He resides in Pune and is a freelance writer, speaker and blogger on topics related to meteorology, spirituality, Christianity, and the Bible.
