Larkspur Lane: Branched Labyrinths of the Mind is a collection of more than two hundred poems, rich in the diversity of themes, subjects, moods, forms, and poetic vision. The collection has been divided into primarily seven categories of poems, and another short, sneak-peak one.
Readers encounter a multitude of themes and moods ranging from childhood, memory, decadence love, betrayal, hope, humanism, nostalgia, rage, delirious mental battles, and serenity of Transcendence. The voice of the poet is brutally honest and unapologetic; at times jocundly cocky, and at other times somber and mature in her acceptance of it all. The collection presents almost an all-encompassing kaleidoscope of Life, both at the micro and macro levels of the flow.
In a larger context, a broad spectrum of subjects and undertones, such as the postmodern agony, the overall decadence of humanism, metaphysics as the medium of transcendence, and the personal experiencing the spiritual form the backbone of this collection of poetry.
In short, the book is akin to a twelve-course poetic meal, that is sure to deeply satiate its readers while certainly leaving them wanting for more.

Nivedita Dey
Nivedita Dey, originally from Kolkata, West Bengal, now based out of Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, is an Indian poet, author, scriptwriter, content-developer and mental health activist. Her work has been extensively featured in several international journals and magazines. She, as a poet, represented the Indian voice at the International Beat Poetry Festival, 2016, West Virginia chapter. She holds an M.A. degree in English and has worked for several years in the television and film industry of Mumbai and Kolkata.
Nivedita says about herself:
“I love to love. I trust the Divine and the flow of life and believe utmost in the divinely human qualities such as empathy, compassion and hope, all of which constitute my poetic philosophy. However dark it gets, it only presents a stronger case for the eternal and invincible presence of Light. Deep down, I dream of a better, more heart-centered world, and I try to contribute whatever little I can to that cause through my poetry and my art.”
