Primarily intended for diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate students of electronics, electrical, mechanical, information technology and computer engineering, this book offers an introduction to microprocessors and microcontrollers. The book is designed to explain basic concepts underlying programmable devices and their interfacing. It provides complete knowledge of the Intel’s 8085 and 8086 microprocessors and 8051 microcontrollers, their architecture, programming and concepts of interfacing of memory, IO devices and programmable chips. The text has been organized in such a manner that a student can understand and get well-acquainted with the subject, independent of other reference books and Internet sources. It is of greater use even for the AMIE and IETE students—those who do not have the facility of classroom teaching and laboratory practice. The book presents an integrated treatment of the hardware and software aspects of the 8085 and 8086 microprocessors and 8051 microcontrollers. Praful V. Nandankar currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Electrical Dept. at Government College of Engineering, Nagpur. He has 9 years of teaching experience and 2 years of research experience. He obtained his B.E. in Electrical Engineering from R.T.M.N.U in 2010. He received his M. Tech. Degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering & specialization in Power Electronics and Drives at V.N.I.T, Nagpur, India, in 2013. Currently, he is pursuing his PhD from Gondwana University, Gadchiroli. He has published research papers in various International Journals and Conferences. He has six granted patents to his credit 6 granted patents and some published patents. His current research interest includes Power Electronics, Electrical Drives and Renewable Energy sources, the Internet of Things (IoT), and Optimization.
Dr. Ganta Raghotham Reddy received his Bachelor of engineering degree in Electronics & Communications from Gulbarga University; He obtained his M. Tech in Digital Communication Engineering from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal; He obtained his PhD in ECE from Osmania University College of Engineering (OUCE), Osmania University, Hyderabad. Currently he is Professor in the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Dean (Student Affairs), Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science (KITS), Warangal, Telangana, India. His areas of research include Image and Signal processing.
Sakimalla Prabhakar Girija received her Bachelor of engineering degree in Electronics & Communications from Institution of Engineers. She obtained M.Tech in Digital Systems and Computer Electronics Engineering from JNTU, Hyderabad. Currently she is an Associate Professor in the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science (KITS), Warangal, Telangana, India. Her areas of research include Image processing and wireless communications.
Azmeera Srinivas received his B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from J.N.T.University - Hyderabad in the year 2005. He received his M.Tech degree in Digital Communications from Kakatiya University, Warangal in the year 2007. Currently, he is Assistant Professor in the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science (KITS), Warangal, Telangana, India.
