The diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) is a severe complication in patients with diabetes mellitus (DM). Patients with DFU have a higher mortality compared with diabetic patients without foot ulcer.In recent years, there is an increasing interest in the beneficial role of vitamin D in DM,this book describes the association of vitamin D deiciency and diabetic foot ulceration and its effect on wound healing.
