The Indian traditional floriculture is speedily getting transformed to a modern industry and its sustainability will be ensured by exploring all the possibilities for making it an export oriented trade. Thus the trade related international pacts are being ratified, legislations, rules and regulations enacted or modified for getting optimum benefits of liberalization.

Dr Nasir H. Dr. Qazi Altaf Hssain Associate professor (floriculture and Landscape Architecture SKUAST-K in the faculty of Horticulture and has published 25 papers, 3 books in booth national and international journals. In his achievements 1 patent is also awarded.
Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Lone Assistant professor (Statistics), working in the faculty of Horticulture SKUAST-K. His expertise in Sampling, Design of experiments and mathematical programming etc. having more than 10 years of experience and has published 25 papers, 2 books in both national and international journals.
Dr Nazir Ahmad Ganai is currently working as Associate Professor in the division Fruit sciences SKUAST-K. He is well known scientist and has more than 18 years of experience in teaching, research, extension. He has published 38 papers, 2 books, 20 abstracts in both national and international journals
