“Thank You, Sachin – the Man, the Myth, and the Legend” is the memoir of a collection of an obsession, a complex enchantment of the author, Yudhajit (pen name of Bikash Paul Choudhury). Cricket as a sport looks like a religion in India. To start, it is something else, a beautiful addiction, a demanding course study, a favorite pastime - a way of life.
Raised in Mumbai, Sachin Tendulkar started his lessons in cricket as a child prodigy. He has created waves all over the Nation, playing for his school, “Sharad Ashram Vidya Mandir” and duly made entry into the “Guinness Book of World Records” when he shared an unbeaten partnership of 664 runs with his childhood chum Vinod Kambli.
The author shares stories from the life and first half of the prolonged cricket career of the “Master Blaster” through his memories and shows us how the world turned upside down for kids and adults alike by the emergence into the world scene of the “Little Maestro.”

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Bikash Paul Choudhury, alias Yudhajit retired as the Chief Engineer, PHE Department of Meghalaya in 2017. After doing B.E. (Civil) from the Regional Engineering College, Durgapur, he completed the Master of Engineering in Public Health from the All-India Institute of Hygiene & Public Health, Kolkata. After a brief stint with the public sector in Mumbai, Bikash decided to serve his state, where he spent his entire service life for the next 37 years. His personal experiences during these long service years varied from fulfilling to traumatic, from the happy-go-lucky to the extreme despondency, and the vicissitudes of life he has richly lived – with all its hope and joy, all its pain and suffering, all its exuberance and disappointment, needed to write books. His life is as it is overwhelming, always real. The experiences he narrated in his books span his service life experiences and other areas of life. Though a late starter in writing, Bikash is also a budding poet and has a passion for pencil sketching. This is his ninth book written in over two years and the third first of his biographical memoir series – “Sachin Tendulkar Story”.
His first three fiction in a series, “Lucy’s Trilogy”, namely “Ecstasy on the Mountain”, “Over a Long Night”, and “Seashore at Twilight”, were all self-published on Amazon platforms. His fourth and fifth books were” The Unending Trail” (his autobiographical fiction) and “Powerful” (the only non-fiction). Three of his five books were best-seller number one in Amazon. in.
Recently, he completed self-publishing his second fiction series, “Binayak’s Life Saga” which has three parts, namely, “The Unconventional Love Saga”, “The Return”, and “The Unexpected Meeting”.
This is Yudhajit's ninth book, and the second non-fictional writing!
