After doing his Bachelor of Engineering from the Regional Engineering College, Durgapur, he completed the Master in Engineering in Public Health from the All India Institute of Hygiene & Public Health. After a brief stint with the private sector, Bikash decided to serve his State where he spent his entire service life for the next 37 years. His personal experiences during these years, which varied from the fulfilling to the traumatic vicissitudes of a life he has richly lived - with all its hope and joy, all its pain and suffering, all its exuberance and dejection, all its expectation and disappointment, form the basis of these books. It is as refreshing as it is overwhelming, but always real. The experiences he narrates in these books span not only his service life but also his childhood and his student days.
Though a little late starter in writing, Bikash is also a budding poet and has a passion for pencil sketching. His books carried the impressions of all aspects of his versatile personality but are a tale told with courage and honesty.

When I read the book on Kobe Bryant, the famous Basketball wizard, I understood the autobiography of a role model can be a good teacher to many aspiring readers to inspire and motivate them to pursue their dreams and motivate them to take their skills to different levels.
I thought to study the life and career of the Indian master cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and scripted his story from my perspective. In the first volume titled, “THANK YOU, SACHIN,” I covered the first part of his life and cricketing career, and in the second part, “GAME SALUTES YOU,” I wrote about the Sachin Tendulkar Story as he excelled in his area of expertise in this millennium.
In the third and concluding part of my memoir on Sachin Tendulkar, “MASTER BLASTER EFFECT - THE ICON HANGS HIS BOOTS”, I have tried to analyze his epic cricketing career and personally felt that a void had been left in the minds of cricket lovers all over the globe. The cricket he played at the highest level for twenty-four years affected me as a die-herd Sachin fan and I wrote this part, maybe, with some bias.

They watched the light and sound show that narrated the stories of the courage and sacrifice of the inmates. the voice of the late actor Om Puri was very proper in narrating the gory tales of the Freedom Struggle of the sub-continent. The tales of the Cellular Jail (called the “Kala Pani”), where the Freedom Fighters were kept and the atrocities suffered by the prisoners under the British, Japanese, and Chinese Regimes were highlighted with every detail of the inhuman treatment meted out by the oppressors.
The meetings of the protagonist with his lady love were highlighted during the travels in the Andamans, although for a brief time, the two had to be separated by the geographical barrier. The plot shifted to different settings and a lot of upheavals happened with the protagonist. An international smuggling connection was under investigation by the protagonist cop in the Islands, while his beloved went back to her native place to continue with the lecturer’s job at the premiere University there.
The story linked to what happened then in present-day mainland India in the time of difficult political turmoil that swept the Indian state of West Bengal and the cop had to visit the neighboring Bangladesh in connection with the investigation. In the end, it was how the protagonist faced the new realities in his life he faced was the theme of the story.

TED is the main (technology, entertainment, and design) annual event or one of its many satellite-positive events around the world. TED is a non-profit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks, often called “TED talks.”
To have a positive mindset, one must take some corrective recourse to shun the beliefs that hamper growth and persevere with the planned actions. Sometimes, it is very difficult to do so day in and day out. It is important, thus, to listen to some positive TED talks to remain focused on the course and make some self-talk after having auto-suggestions. It is important to note that the change in thoughts comes after a lot of effort and the changes taking place in the belief system cannot be measured properly as these changes take place slowly.
In this book, some important success principles are referred to which are the basis of results achieved by famous personalities in various fields. Those great people necessarily didn't need to follow the success principles in the TED talks mentioned in the book consciously. What is more vital is that most of the success principles are the same and, maybe, they originated from the same traditional wisdom. For the illustration in this book, the “STRANGEST SECRETS OF LIFE” as the author listened through the audio of Earl Nightingale is considered as a pilot principle.
How these famous personalities have applied those principles has been analyzed in the book.

The author shares stories from the life and first half of the prolonged cricket career of the “Master Blaster” through his memories and shows us how the world turned upside down for kids and adults alike by the emergence into the world scene of the “Little Maestro.”

“The Unexpected Meeting – Transformation, Twists and Turns of Life” is the third part of the fiction series ‘Binayak’s Tale’, which poses a few questions to the readers. How Binayak’s lost beloved of his college days is now? What if she meets him in her new avatar? Whether he can live his lonely life in a new work environment? After their separation, how is his wife faring in her new lecturer’s job in Bangalore?
The long saga of Binayak’s life journey is about his phoenix-like resilience and rising from the ashes. He suffers, yet his untamed soul never ceases to fight up. He fights fiercely for love and life – in a dignified fashion. Binayak rises to take decisive actions boldly, to set himself up in life, become financially independent, and be an influential author one day to write about the constant struggle one must undergo inside him.
The novel is about a constant struggle between humanity and love versus hatred and violence. It is about beauty, yet in some way, it is about ugliness, the beauty of free spirit and human love, and the ugliness of the destructive virus of greed. The then-political culture had its imprint on the story

In a way, this novel also is not a modern-day love story, where education, ambition, the right to choose one’s partner, co-education, friendship, freedom of love, and choosing one’s life-mate were the choices for a common man.
In my novel, one of the protagonists’ childhoods is spent in the village on the other side of the border, and the writer, Arundhati Ray says rules. I have tried to portray the then world that can ignore and forget the depravation of women in various forms but never forgive those who infringe on the ‘love laws’ strictly imposed.

It is a story of losing one’s close one, yet the protagonist goes undeterred about his works irrespective of what’s in offing!

My romance story, “The Unconventional Love Saga – Turns and Twists of Life” is about the timeless love story between two passionate souls from the ‘city of joy.’ it is the first part of the series, ‘Binayak’s Tales’ and is about formative days of the life of the protagonists. it is not a modern-day’s love story, where education, ambition, the right to choose one’s partner, co-education, friendship with the opposite sex, dating, live-in relationship, freedom of, love, and choosing one’s life-mate were the choices for a common man.
In my novel, one of the protagonists’ childhoods is spent in the village on the other side of the border and the college days are spent in Calcutta in the early 70s. Those days, “LOVE LAWS”, as the famed Indian Writer, Arundhati Ray says, rule. I have tried to portray the then world that can ignore and forget the depravation of women in various forms but never forgive those who infringe on the “love laws” strictly imposed.
Only the authorities, who play “God”, can dictate whom one must choose to love and “how much” to love. Therefore, the wealthy and class-conscious family of Deepa and the relatives turn hostile against the lovers.
Ironically the novel depicts a tale of romance set in early 70’s West Bengal. Nevertheless, most of its adults/seniors are yet to understand the growing new generation! So, as the novel progresses, one can feel the antagonism between the values of the newly educated small-town young generation and the old.

“The Unending Trail - Journey of a Commoner“, the autobiographical fiction novel by Bikash Paul Choudhury, a retired technocrat, is an account of his experience with life. It is narrated in the present tense as the recent happening as a somewhat fictional account, as well it is a collection of his various articles and past events in life explained in past tense simultaneously. His life’s story is a moving, no-holds-barred dissection of his self on the surgical table of life that ebbs and flows in its richness, enveloping all our rationality and irrationality, emotions and frustrations, longing and despair. We sometimes rejoice at our triumphs and achievements, and at times curse ourselves at the follies and blunders we commit willy-nilly. It is an honest account of the remarkable journey of an ordinary man who could have been any of us. Hope the readers will like reading his recounts.
