On one hand, some people live lavishly; but some others barely have the vitals and have to fight each day for life. The Doctrine of Jhuggi is about Dapple, a 22-year-old rape victim, who is quiet but bold and audacious, different but imprisoned by her dark past. Scared of social taboos, she opted to confine herself in an estranged slum. The horrific and appalling condition of Sibbu and his three kids in the slum gave her new air to live. Extreme level of starvation among the most vulnerable and underprivileged section of society, indispensably compelled her to forget her own pains and dreams. Passing through various defined and undefined relations, the deaths of two small kids out of hunger altered her perception about civilized social norms completely. Will Dapple be able to cope up with all this?
