It was a cool Saturday morning. I was waiting for Raj at the coffee day in the Law college road. Raj was my close friend since my childhood days and we still remain thick friends. He had very bad temper and I was scared when he lost his cool. Still I took his advise on studies and other times when I needed them. Right from our school days I have helped him and now it was time for him to help me.

Raj parked his bike outside coffee day and was walking towards me. I was biting my nails in tension not knowing how to talk to my Lady Love about marriage. As he pulled the chair to sit near me I yelled at him "Idiot cant you pick my call?" What the hell are you doing? Don't you know how much tension I am in? sorry dude i had some work outside that's why I am late said Raj. But one thing for sure he never expected such an anger from me. Patting on my back he told me to calm down. Dude i have never spoken to a girl much and I..... what I....asked Raj? I asked him to open the topic of marriage to Chitra my Lady Love. suddenly Raj burst in to laughter. Oh! is this the matter he asked me joking. I nodded in silence. His laughter irritated me but I controlled myself. Don't you know my seriousness Raj? I asked him. Raj got annoyed and shouted at me. Stupid you have been loving Chitra for the past Eight years but, still you don't know how to broach the topic of marriage to her?. shame on you man. I was feeling embarrassed and felt as if people around me was watching at me only. I pleaded to Raj to help me in a feeble voice. He nodded his head. Where have you asked Chitra to come? what time? Raj asked. Coffee day and after 1.00 noon. I answered. ok said he. My eyes were searching Chitra. Hey don't be nervous stupid, take it easy. Raj said to me. Hmm I nodded.

Sharp at 1.30 Chitra came in Rickshaw and her was searching me. I waved my hands to call her but, suddenly Raj was not to be seen anywhere. I mustered courage and said please have a seat pulling the chair near me. It's okay I am comfortable here sitting in front of me Chitra said. Avi tell me why have you told me to come? what you want to tell me? But my eyes was searching for that stupid Raj. Avi who are you searching for Chitra asked, Raj I answered. He went out just now. i met him. you say what you want to tell? be fast I have to go out with my dad please. Chitra I....I....... what I.... asked Chitra. Suddenly i caught hold of her hands and said I love you and want to marry you. Avi so sweet of you Chitra suddenly hug me. I was shocked and happy. She told me that she has already spoken to her parents and they have already given their consent for the marriage. When I asked her? after we finish our studies was her reply. My happiness knew no bounds and felt like flying in the air. Chitra bid me goodbye and went away. Suddenly Raj came in and asked finished?. I asked what finished? Dude did you propose her?. Who her? I asked. Chitra said Raj. Hmm, saying Raj asked me how then I told him everything. Raj was very happy and hug me with tears in his eyes.

Years passed by. I finished my Engineering and got a good job too. Chitra too finished her studies. One evening my parents went to Chitra's house to seek her for me. We got married on the same date when I proposed her for marriage. I sincerely owe all my credit to Raj. Had he not been there i would have missed my Lady Love chitra.

In the words of Augustine love is temporary madness. it erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. When it subsides you have to make a decision. Love is divine and pure.
