2250 AD,

Somewhere outside Earth.

Today Sky is unusually calm. No air, No light. Some large pieces of dust broken apart from planets, molten rocks moving here and there

To a sudden astonishment, a space car approaching at the hypersonic speed tearing the peace of the space. It’s a very small wagon carrying just five people.

Two of them are well known Mr. Ravi, Air Marshal of Planet Lemuria with his assistant. Other three people are appeared to be Aliens from Planet called Earth which destroyed before twenty years. Their names are Mr. and Mrs. Karthick. It is Anusha, their 10 year old daughter who often disturbing all with her unending questions about anything she sees.

Karthick and His wife were worked as Astronauts in space organization called ISRO of India. They always want their daughter to know about their homeland Earth. So whenever she asks anything about their childhood days they explain it carefully so that their daughter should have good opinion about their planet. But today both of them are tight lipped as they reminisce (recall the past).

Suddenly Anusha asked them why they left their planet. Of course, they have to tell her everything. After made up his mind Karthick started telling their past to her daughter.

2200 AD

Chennai, India.

Our last petroleum reserve went dry that year. Our life is entirely depend on petroleum. Once we lost it world fell into darkness. Each and every country did something to produce electricity. But nothing worked out. Everyone knew that human race going to end. For our thousands of year survival we killed many trees and animals without any regrets. Now we felt sorry for everything and as usual fell into god’s feet with selfish reason.

It was Iranians who cracked it first. They found out method to harness electricity from extracts of mountain rocks by blending with water. But once we do this, we’ll lose both mountain and water at the same time. It will destroy both wildlife and sea life same time. As the human nature, we once again did very selfish thing.

Soon after the results are positive, every countries started cooking it ate without a piece of grunch.

We are the first generation who born in the earth with no mountain and no ocean. Only we were shown their samples in laboratories and museums. We lost mountains of Alps, Japan, all except the Himalayas. You know why. India had its indigenous mountains Eastern and Western Ghats. Because it was a physical rivalry barrier from our neighbours.

At year 2230, we both were sent to ISS, were we conducted experiments related to generating electricity with space dust.

Once we lost mountain, earth’s external surface became smooth. So no more obstacles to resist the flow of air leads us to a very strange situation. It was all about the mountain that vary speed, pressure difference on various areas. So no mountain lead us to no rain, no cultivation, and no food. The great famine occurred.

Only the great Himalayas survived, until that day. Yes. We ate up Himalayas too. As soon as America found out last mountain left they started cutting down rocks from northwest while China from northeast of Indian subcontinent.

Finally war broke out between India, China and America with well-equipped nuclear warheads. All other countries took any side to gain from war. As soon as China learned that American military is very strong, they shot nuclear missile to its enemy countries. America also launch back.

Anusha: “What about India, dad?

As usual discussion on parliament, objection from ally, president’s approval tedious process ends on voting. Before India going to war, there is nothing left as catastrophe (great damage) was already done.

Because of already polluted water, famine and nuclear wastes, one by one every single human fell into hands of death.

This is all we saw from space. Because of that space ship we survived. But we don’t want to live in that horrible place. Aborting (terminating) the mission, we travelled without knowing any destination. After a year its serendipity (good luck) that we reached this planet.

“But Dad you said Hitler and Mussolini are cruelest human beings”

“Yeah, Why?”

“If they are cruelest then who are the people who led to extinction of our civilization? Who are the people who polluted water, forests and even mountain? Who are the people who killed their own brothers for food?”

“Dad, Tell pilot to turn the wagon. We are not going to earth. I don’t want to see that place of betrayal”
