Dr. Keshab Chandra Mandal is currently (from 2015 to till date) working as the Head Master of S.M. Nagar Derozio Smriti Vidyalaya (High), Kolkata. He taught Political Science at Ghatal Y.S.S Vidyapith (H.S.) from 2001-2015 and taught Political Science at Rabin Mukherjee College, Kolkata in 2017. His areas of interest are gender studies, local government, state politics, and development studies. He attended more than one hundred state-level, national and international conferences, seminars, and symposiums. He has already published 15 books, two monographs, and about four dozen scholarly articles from the UK, the USA, Europe, and India. Out of his 15 books, four volumes in six publications in the English language has 46 world library holdings. He has attained three M.A. Degrees from the University of Kalyani (first in 1991), and Madurai Kamraj University (in 2006 & 2009). He has also received his Ph. D. Degree from the Department of Political Science with Rural Administration, Vidyasagar University in Paschim Medinipur, W.B. India. His research topic was Empowerment of Women and Panchayati Raj: Myth and Reality - A Case Study of Rural Midnapore (2003-09). Later, he successfully completed a 24-month-long research project as the Project Director from the Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Dehli from 2015-2017. Again in 2020, he got a full publication grant for publishing his book - Sustainable Development in India: A Comparison with the G-20. Most of the books of this author are research-oriented. His research works have been appreciated by various Professors and Researchers from various universities and institutions around the world.
