Murtaza Kharawala, was born in Mumbai, India. He is an alumnus of Christ Church School, Mumbai, St. Josephs College, Bengaluru and K.C. College, Mumbai. Having graduated in Microbiology with a B.Sc. degree from Mumbai University, his life took a dramatic twist when he joined as an indirect tax (Customs and Central Excise) officer, with the Government of India. Murtaza Kharawala, was born in Mumbai, India.
He is an alumnus of Christ Church School, Mumbai, St. Josephs College, Bengaluru and K.C. College, Mumbai.
Having graduated in Microbiology with a B.Sc. degree from Mumbai University, his life took a dramatic twist when he joined as an indirect tax (Customs and Central Excise) officer, with the Government of India. 
While on the job he wrote poetry and short stories. He then simultaneously channelized his love for academics and evolved as a Trainer, serving six years as Faculty at the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics (NACIN), a premier training institute.
He then took voluntary retirement, having served over twenty-six years with the Government of India, in the year 2018.
Currently, he has relocated to the United States of America with his wife, who is an engineer by profession and is pursuing his passion for writing, full time.
Having written blogs, travelogues, short stories and poetry over time, this is his debut novel and his first foray into formal writing.
